The company is looking for a highly organised, proactive, and commercially minded Human Resources professional with a practical, hands-on approach to people management. The successful candidate should be confident working independently across the full HR function, engaging with employees and management at all levels, and navigating the demands of a dynamic, fast-paced operational environment with professionalism, discretion and integrity.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, induction, employee development and offboarding, ensuring a consistent employee experience.
  • Lead day-to-day Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR) matters, providing practical guidance to management and employees while ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures.
  • Manage disciplinary and grievance processes, including investigations, counselling, performance-related matters, disciplinary hearings and the preparation of supporting documentation.

  • Oversee payroll-related statutory administration and compliance, including PAYE, UIF, SDL and applicable employee benefit contributions and reconciliations.
  • Oversee employee benefits administration, including Medical Aid, Provident Fund and other applicable company benefits.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, employment contracts, personnel files and HR documentation, ensuring the integrity and security of employee information.
  • Coordinate performance management processes, supporting managers with performance reviews, development plans, probation management and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Provide trusted HR guidance to management and department heads, supporting effective people management, workforce planning, organisational changes and employee-related decision-making.
  • Prepare regular HR reports and workforce insights for management, including headcount, recruitment, turnover, absenteeism, leave, employee relations and other relevant people metrics.
  • Support employee engagement, retention and workplace culture initiatives, fostering a professional, productive and high-performing work environment.
  • Manage HR requirements across the company’s operational locations, maintaining consistency in HR practices while remaining responsive to the requirements of individual departments and teams.
